We liked our couple of nights here. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, with modern furnishings and everything we needed. There was even a tea set with cups and cutlery. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location made getting around easy. The Kolonada bridge is about a three-minute walk away, as are the city center, Aupark, and places to eat. By the Váh river, we found Organila food and drink, a vegan restaurant with a lovely view. We also recommend the cafe on the fourth floor of hotel Pavla, where you can look out toward the Kolonada bridge and the nearby spa-hotel Thermia.

I was glad to find lemonade and apples being replenished regularly, and the tepidarium was lovely. The wellness area is quiet and well kept, with three saunas, a cooling pool and bucket, and a massage pool around 4x4m. Locals like to use it too, so it can get quite busy, especially on weekends. Capacity is 23 people, and weekend visits are limited to two hours with no extension. I’d suggest going on a weekday. The sanitary day is Tuesday, not Monday.

The location is excellent, and the quiet room made for a peaceful night. We also appreciated the secure parking in the gated courtyard and the card access. The apartment had an unusual, impressive layout, good furniture, a small kitchen, and air conditioning. There were too many things in need of attention, though. The mattress sagged and had a hole, some fittings were loose, and water sat in the sink. The Teflon pans were old and scratched, the wire hangers were cheap, and the Wi-Fi was poor. It’s a shame the owners seem not to care for the guesthouse. I hope they fix these issues soon, since we’d like to come back for the location and quiet sleep.
