Guesthouse Atrium

The quieter location outside the main town centre suited us, and there was a supermarket nearby. We also found a local bar with live music one evening. The guesthouse has comfortable rooms, good restaurant food, and welcoming staff. We couldn’t use the sauna because it wasn’t switched on, though we should have asked about it earlier. That didn’t affect our stay, and we were glad we chose Penzion Atrium.

We had a room looking out over the large square, with the Tatra Mountains visible behind it. The rooms were good and clean, and the food was tasty and inexpensive. There’s a small, affordable bar, and sitting in the lovely courtyard in the evening was a treat. The hotel is cozy and right in Poprad’s old town, with cafes and restaurants nearby. Much of the rest of Poprad has a typical Eastern European look that may not appeal to everyone, but the pedestrian streets are pleasant and the old town is clearly the city’s most charming part.

Local food, well prepared and very reasonably priced. There’s beer on tap, though the bottled selection isn’t great. Staff don’t speak much English, but they manage to communicate. The place has a nice atmosphere and draws locals, with several rooms and a few tables in the atrium that leads to a courtyard.

Atrium is a beautiful hotel and Penzión, and I’d definitely recommend it. The service was very good, everything was clean, and the cleaner was amazing. The restaurant food was delicious, and the waiters were friendly. I’ll definitely be back, thank you Atrium ♥️
