The reception team helped us plan hikes, which made it easy to explore the High Tatras without getting lost. We were also about a 10-minute walk from Poprad-Tatry train station, with the TEZ electric train to Štrbské Pleso and Hrebienok. Booking.com worked out well for us, too: we got half board, breakfast and dinner, plus aquapark passes for the whole stay. After hiking, we could unwind at the aquapark, have dinner, and walk back to our room. One thing to be aware of is the layout. The hotel is across the road from the main building, about a 2-minute walk away, and check-in and check-out are handled there. Our room also had a connecting door to the next room, though it was locked on both sides. The walls seemed thin, and we could hear almost everything from next door, which could be a problem for light sleepers. Apart from that, we had a great stay.

I asked the woman selling Aquapark tickets for some information, and she looked at me as if I was bothering her. That was a really unpleasant experience. We're customers and deserve to be treated with basic courtesy.

The food was excellent, and there’s a wide choice of wellness treatments. The kids had a fantastic program and several facilities of their own. We were absolutely and pleasantly surprised, and we'll definitely come back more often.

By the end of the stay, I was less happy than when we arrived. The double bed came apart with even the slightest movement. After a hike, going to sleep while wondering if I’d have to hike back to the hotel in the morning wasn’t much fun. /s The food was generally great, though a few dishes disappointed. Drinks at dinner weren’t free. When we asked for water, they asked for our room number or whether we’d pay cash or card, and no one even offered us a drink card. We were told at reception that using the aquapark after checkout wouldn’t be a problem, but it turned out to be one when we got there. Two of us had bought wellness upgrades for checkout day, and two had massage appointments. In the end, the manager let the people with massages in.

The rooms have an elegant feel, and the room service was good. Breakfast was average quality. Access to the acqua park is the real extra here.
