The setting is lovely, on a charming street, but the room and facilities let it down. The shower took 5-10 minutes to get hot, the Wi-Fi barely worked, several lights were out, and the TV didn’t work. The coffee was weak, and the staff weren’t especially friendly.

A comfortable enough base for enjoying the High Tatras, especially if you don’t have high or specific expectations. The apartments are cozy, though the plumbing and electrical appliances could use renovation. Breakfast is the only meal served in the restaurant. It felt like the pension’s best days may be behind it, and I wished there had been a barbecue option in the garden.

We had a great stay in this clean hotel, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms have an old-fashioned design that gives them a nice atmosphere. Breakfast was tasty, and the surroundings are beautiful. It’s in the centre of a small town, with Aquapark Poprad nearby if that’s your kind of outing. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The food was the highlight of our Sunday lunch. I ordered grilled zander and my wife had chickpeas with mushrooms, and both dishes were really tasty. We ate outside in the beautiful garden, and the meal exceeded what we expected.

A charming old guesthouse with a cozy feel, and pets are welcome. The rooms each have their own character. Just be aware that the stairs could be difficult for older guests or anyone with a disability.
