The rooms are simple but good, and this is a family-run pension. If there are only a few guests, the kitchen may be closed, so you might need to head out for dinner. That’s no hardship in Poprad, and the hostess is happy to point you to good places to eat. I stayed for two days. The staff were very friendly and, like the Slovakian people I’ve met, keen to be helpful. Breakfast can be served at whatever time you want, as long as you let them know the day before.

The owners are genuinely friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It’s a quiet area with a few good places to eat and drink, though the B&B is outside the city centre. The train station isn’t too far away. A great little place to stay in Poprad.
