Penzion Plesnivec

We used the hotel as a base for a few nights of day trips around Slovakia. The garden and playground were a real help with our three boys, all under nine, since they had space to play. It’s a simple place, but you can feel how much care the owners put into it. The owner was always happy to suggest sights and trails. We had a great time and hope to return soon.

There’s free parking right at the pension, and the shower worked well and the bed was fine. The owners were generous and so friendly, with useful ideas for hikes in the Tatras and nearby cities. The best hikes are about a 20-minute drive away. Rooms and furniture may be a little dated, but breakfast made up for it, with eggs freshly prepared each morning and a choice of what you wanted. If I hike in the Tatras again, I’ll definitely stay at Pension Plesnivec.

We originally booked four nights and ended up staying six. The host was lovely and had lots of hiking suggestions. Breakfast was very good, and the beds were comfortable. I’d happily recommend this place.

We spent five nights here as a family of five. The rooms are basic, but had what we needed, and there are play areas inside and out that work really well for kids. The owner was very friendly and extremely helpful with ideas for hikes, attractions, and places to visit. In season, fruit and vegetables from the garden show up at breakfast too. Highly recommended.
