I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I have to. This was my first stay in Slovakia, so I’m comparing it with places in Poland and abroad. The breakfast was poor and barely enough to fill me up. I also worried it might have been reheated from the day before. Booking showed that saunas were available, but didn’t say they cost extra. I used one once, and in my opinion it should be included in the accommodation price, with reservations required. For the price, it’s nothing special. Edit: I’m giving it one star because the coffee was cold, there was no butter, and the restaurant was poor.

The staff were friendly, the restaurant was nice, and the rooms were spacious. Still, the room felt like a high school dorm, and really needs updating. The blinds were broken, the cups were old and overused, the sponge was dirty and disgusting, and the beds seemed like the cheapest you could buy. I slept terribly all week and regret staying there. Sorry, next time I’d rather pay a bit more.

We spent one night here before hiking to Rysy, and it worked out really well. The hotel is convenient for hiking trails in the Tatra Mountains if you have a car, and there’s a Lidl just across the road. Our room was large and clean, and the price was relatively low.

The restaurant is really good, and the staff are very friendly. My room, though, was barely cleaned during my stay, and often not cleaned at all. The rooms need some attention. I’d have given it two stars, but the friendly staff brought my rating up to three.

There’s a spacious tennis hall behind a glass wall on the top floor, along with a fitness center, bowling alley, and wellness facility. I recommend it.
