Penzión Štrba

My girlfriend’s family, who are from Hungary, arranged this trip. We live in NL, and it was a bit of an occasion because I was meeting everyone for the first time. They’re experienced hikers and picked this spot for its many trails and almost untouched nature. I’d never really hiked up a mountain for fun before, and now I’m completely hooked. Having that first experience somewhere like this opened up a whole new world of adventure and discovery for me. I’ll always be grateful for it and remember it. The people are what made the stay special. The staff were cheerful, kind and super friendly. I got to meet the owner, the ladies in the kitchen and the guys at the bar. Thank you all so much. The hotel was nice and clean too, with spacious rooms, comfy beds, a great shower and a very nice breakfast downstairs. There’s also a gorgeous log-house restaurant a few metres down the road with awesome food. Don’t miss dinner there, you won’t regret it! If you’re coming to clear your head, get away from the city or just nourish your soul, I’d highly recommend staying here. I wish I could’ve stayed longer, but it’s time to go home. Already looking forward to coming back. :)

The pension has a restaurant with really nice pizza, and there’s a small shop underneath the building. Our room was large, with comfortable beds and clean bathroom facilities. We even had a kitchen available to us. Lovely hotel.
