Penzión Lux

The owners were lovely, and the room was always cleaned properly. I stayed in three different rooms, and each had an odd smell that wasn't exactly unpleasant. The furnishings are older. The guesthouse was full, but we weren't disturbed, and the walls are thick. It's beside the road, though, so traffic may bother light sleepers. Reception stays open until midnight, and there's courtyard parking. Breakfast comes with a voucher, coffee or tea, and an egg dish of your choice, like an omelette, scrambled eggs, or ham and eggs.

It'll do for a basic place to stay. The furnishings feel like they're from the 1990s and need updating, and a few spots could have been cleaned more carefully. I guess that's the accommodation standard here.

There was no air conditioning, and the internet crawled along at 0.8 Mbps. The parking gate was locked, so we had to keep ringing the bell. When we checked out, we also had to pay a tax, and the final price wasn't the one we'd agreed on.

The staff came across as grumpy. The TV didn't work, and the internet kept cutting out and was painfully slow. The older man called our room phone for exactly a minute, then came to knock and tell us it was time to leave. After that, a younger woman came and hustled us out because, apparently, other customers were waiting and they needed to clean the room. It felt way below standard and completely unprofessional, as if they were taking advantage of their customers. They should also restock the toilet paper. We arrived to find two partly used rolls. I've stayed there and seen it for myself, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Best regards.
