Galanda Apartments

Everything was warm, cozy, and spotless, and the apartment and building looked modern and thoughtfully put together. We stayed here for the first time, and it was much better than we expected. The place had all sorts of useful things, from a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, and kettle to a large smart TV with a full TV program. The kitchenette was fully equipped, with plenty of glasses, and there were towels and bathrobes too. There’s no reception, but everything had been arranged as agreed, including the PIN keys in the box. I’d definitely recommend it. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The location made getting around easy. The Aquapark is only about 100 m away, the spa district is compact enough to explore on foot, and cafes, restaurants, the city pool, healing springs, Billy, Tesco, and Lidl are all nearby. You can even head to the Aquapark in a bathrobe. We had a street view, but there was very little traffic and no noise bothered us. Our apartment was cozy, clean, modern, new, and extremely well equipped. The kitchen had everything we went looking for, and the retro-style fridge with freezer was a nice touch. The bed, bedding, and mattresses were excellent, and the bathroom was well appointed. We prefer apartments to hotels partly because you get a fridge like that. The parking space was unlocked and ready for us, and its number matched the apartment. Since there’s no reception in the building, our entrance, apartment, parking gate, and cellar keys, along with the WiFi QR code, were in a locker outside. We received its six-digit PIN by text shortly before arrival, entered it on the locker screen, and collected the keys. The locker could be used again during the stay, and the same master key opened the entrance and apartment. Booking through booking.com went smoothly, a method we’ve used before and recommend. If you need help, there’s an external reception on SNP Street at Opera Residence, about 500 m away, just past the Velka Fatra health resort. The staff there were very willing and friendly, and their number was in the room documents if you’d rather call. We were a little confused when booking because apt Galanda 24 was also offered. We took that to mean apartments in the same building’s right-hand section, with a different package. Ours included access to the hotel pool in LD Velka Fatra, through procedure vouchers you show the attendant to get a locker key, or you can ask reception for the procedure. There are dance evenings in the garden section of the neighboring hotel Vysehrad, and similar events at LD Velka Fatra. Galanda Apartments are very conveniently located, and we’ll book here again.
