The bar stays open until 9pm, and there’s a shared kettle in the hallway. The rooms were nice and clean, and the showers worked well. Bring your own shower gel and other toiletries.

The hotel itself was cheap and fine for what we paid. The restaurant was another story. We ordered dinner, and the pizzas looked worrying from the start: burnt, oily, and topped with cheese that tasted and felt like plastic. I wouldn’t serve them to my worst enemy. The risotto was like fried rice and came with pickles. Who serves that? That evening, 4 of the 7 people in our group got very sick, with all the signs of food poisoning. When we told the staff, an older man who didn’t speak English showed no remorse and said we should drink alcohol, which he offered to give us for free as a kind gesture. That didn’t feel like a nice way to treat guests. I’d say stay at the hotel if you want, since it’s cheap and fine, but NEVER eat here unless you like being a double firing dragon.

We only went to the restaurant, where I had one of the worst pizzas I’ve ever tasted. I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it was very cheap and the server was nice and spoke English, both of which are rare qualities in Slovakia.

A quiet place to rest after a long drive or hike, with a great view and good service. The food was delicious, prices were fair, and there was indoor parking. The bed was very soft, too.

We tried 3 pizzas and liked all of them. They tasted great and were hardly greasy. Delivery to Tatranska Lomnica was quick as well.
