Kamzík

There were so many letdowns it’s hard to list them all. The room photos didn’t match what we found, and we were told to leave the restaurant four minutes after closing, even though we’d been let in 15 minutes earlier. We asked for the bed to be made, but they only pulled out the sofa and left the rest for us. Nothing here felt worth visiting. Save €70, stay somewhere else, and get better service and food.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Aplend Apartments Kamzik for a lovely week during the off-season, when the village was quiet and not very busy. We didn’t have a car, but the helpful staff at Kamzik made it easy to get around the area. There are also two grocery stores less than five minutes away on foot. Our room had loads of space to relax and felt like home. We didn’t cook, though we appreciated that everything for making a meal was provided. Breakfast had enough choice to set us up for exploring the Tatra mountain ranges. By the end, we felt like a pair of chamois, leaping over rocks like it was nothing. The room was comfortable, clean, and well equipped, and every staff member we met was friendly and helpful. We loved the food too, from the breakfast buffet to everything we tried off the restaurant menu. The place sits about halfway between the train and cable car stations. We recommend it 100%.

Aplend Apartments Kamzik has modern, comfortable accommodation and a convenient spot beside the Ground funicular to Hrebienok, so getting out to enjoy the surrounding nature is easy. There’s also a half-board option, with food that adds to a comfortable stay. It could work well for a romantic break, a family holiday, or a solo retreat.
