Vila Credo

We had plenty of parking, well-equipped kitchens in the rooms, nice living rooms, and lots of hot water. Breakfast was tasty and filling too. It was a great experience, with all the main places we wanted to visit close by, including Rysy hike, Zakopane, and Slovak Paradise park, each within a maximum one-hour drive.

Parking right outside the apartments made coming and going easy, and the children loved the playground. We also had a really good breakfast each morning before heading out. Vila Credo was clean and cozy, with kind staff who were always happy to help. The quiet setting was relaxing, and it worked well as a base for exploring the Tatras. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back.

The dining room felt very cramped, with tables and chairs so close together that sitting down and getting up was awkward. Still, breakfast had plenty of options, and the owner spoke enough English for us to understand each other. We stayed five nights; the place was simple, but did the job for sleeping and resting after long hikes. Having the main railway nearby was a big plus since we used it every day. It wasn't expensive, and for what we needed, it was just right. I'd recommend it.

We were a group of 40 spread across two houses and several rooms, and the heating was a major problem. One house was unbearably hot with no way to turn it down, while the other stayed freezing despite attempts to get the heaters working. The owners spoke only a little English, so communication was sometimes difficult. The place seemed new or fully renovated, but some things made the stay unpleasant. It's fairly near the tourist trails, though getting to their starting point meant a steep climb. Breakfast was okay, neither particularly good nor bad, but the ALDI / LIDL nescafe was truly awful.
