The owners, Michal and Katka, are really friendly and make sure guests are looked after. We’ve stayed at Penzion Michal in both summer and winter over the years, and it’s our favorite place in the High Tatras. The accommodation is a decent standard for a reasonable price, with enough room and consistently spotless rooms. We’ve always enjoyed the food, which is served twice a day. Breakfast is especially good, and everything is homemade. There’s plenty of parking outside and storage for ski and snowboard gear. I’d happily recommend it and look forward to coming back to Penzion Michal. Thanks :)

We hadn’t booked ahead, but the owners were welcoming, smiling, and helped us find a room with an amazing view. Breakfast was good, and they were happy to help with whatever we needed. The location in Zdiar is top notch and the price is good too. There’s a small play area for kids and a nice sized garden that must be great in summer.

We felt right at home during our week at Pension u Michala in Zuberec. The owners are lovely and easy to talk to, and they gave us helpful ideas for places to visit. There was plenty for the children to enjoy, and we were surprised to find saunas, a salt cave, and other treatments as well. The staff treated us like family, and we’ll definitely come back. Many thanks, I highly recommend this pension. The setting was incredibly beautiful, and the accommodation was spotless and comfortable, with a brand new bathroom. The homemade food was great. I was surprised by the children’s semolina porridge at breakfast, which was so filling I couldn’t finish it. My husband needs gluten-free food, and they fully accommodated him by cooking gluten-free meals too.
