Apartment Roháčik

A great base for exploring the area, whether you're here for skiing or visiting in summer. The hosts are friendly, and the spacious accommodation is well kept. There's plenty of room for parking too.

Our apartment at Rohačik guesthouse had a separate kitchen area with a couch and TV, plus a bedroom with a balcony. It looked just like the owner's photos, and everything felt new, clean, and nice. The stay was very pleasant, with nothing to complain about. The owner was kind and helpful, and gave us advice and recommendations. We couldn't fit in all the trips we'd planned because of the weather, so we'll definitely return. Also, sorry we left a few things in the fridge. Please use anything that was unopened. Thank you very much.

The hostess is friendly, and she speaks Polish. The apartments are new, clean, well maintained, and smell fresh, making this a lovely spot to relax. There's a covered barbecue area too. It's a handy base for the Western Tatras, including Łatana Valley, the surrounding Roháčka Valley, and Siwy Wierch. You can also use the maintained cross-country ski trails and marked ski touring routes in Spalona Valley. In the village there's a Janovki ski lift, while more advanced skiers can head to Roháče-Spalona.

There are beautiful views of the Slovak Tatra Mountains, plus a grocery store and several restaurants and bars nearby. Outside, there's a covered space with a stone grill and swings for children, and downstairs guests can use a large shared dining room with a kitchenette and microwave. The rooms are tidy and well cared for, with a hairdryer, fridge, towels, dishes, an electric stove with an induction hob, pots and pans, cutlery, and cable TV with basic Polish channels. Wi-Fi is available, though it cuts in and out. The linens were clean, and the whole place smelled pleasant when we arrived, with the scent available in larger stores in Slovakia. Great value and a wonderful place to stay in either winter or summer. 10/10.
