Metro Hotel

The photos give the wrong impression. The rooms just aren't worth what they charge.

The owner was bubbly and friendly, but that was the only good part. The place was dirty, the bed was poor, and the power went out every three minutes. People were talking on the phone outside our room at 4am. I also saw lots of fake reviews on hotels.com that should be removed. Stay somewhere else.

The lizard in the shower was probably the cutest thing in the hotel. There was also an old bar of soap and a cigarette on the showerhead. The basic rooms looked nothing like the pictures, and the staff were unpleasant. We only asked if they could find out the taxi fare to the airport, but they called a taxi and then asked us to pay, without ever giving us a clear price. At reception, the woman said I had to show everything in my bag before they would keep it in the safe, because anyone could come in and take things from it. Dear hotel manager, this is private property, and guests' safety and privacy should be protected.

For 40 usd, it's a basic room and you get what you pay for. The service was very friendly.
