I've been coming here for my Dakar trips since 2021 and have always loved staying here. It feels like a home away from home. On my last trip, I also discovered a mall around the corner with a cinema, Pathe.sn, an Auchan Hypermall, and KFC.

The staff were especially kind and helpful when we ran into trouble getting my wife from the airport. Breakfast was simple, tasty, and filling, and the location is handy for a supermarket, several banks and ATMs, and one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at, Alloo Sushi and Foods. Of the places I've stayed around Dakar and Thies, this has been the best value so far. The rooms are clean and generally in good shape, with decor that reminds me of Japanese style. They have proper French bidets, too. Art seems to matter to the management: the pictures and wallpaper designs give that impression.

We arrived from the US and were greeted by a crew who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The staff were consistently friendly and professional, and accommodated all our needs. The facility was immaculate, and the chef and food were five-star. We came as guests and left feeling like family. I highly recommend Illyin Botique Hotel and restaurant to anyone visiting Dakar.

The place was very clean and centrally located, with easy access to the VDN in Mermoz. Maybe it was the rooms we booked, but the online photos made it look much more updated than it was.

A lovely little hidden gem in Dakar. The hotel is clean, nicely decorated, reasonably priced, and well located. The staff were friendly and very accommodating, and the owner is exceptional. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Dakar.
