Ibis Styles Dakar

The staff made this the best Ibis I've stayed at. Mrs Awa from the Ibis bar gave me such cute, great service, and the swimming pool monitor was adorable and helped me out. I met lots of other amazing people there too. Best service!!!!

Our family of four stayed at the Ibis for the first night of our Senegal trip. Since the Novotel is connected, we ate there and used its gym, which had brand new equipment. The breakfast buffet was better than we expected, and the staff were very helpful.

The pool area was nice, and the hotel's downtown Dakar location was convenient. But there were very few amenities, and the restaurant was awful. The so-called roasted potatoes were still raw inside, and the meal was incredibly expensive. It was the worst food I had during my three weeks in Senegal. As a woman traveling alone for business, I felt very uncomfortable. A male hotel guest wanted to join me at my restaurant table. When I said no, he got angry, and staff asked me to let him sit with me. I also had an uncomfortable encounter with a male guest at the pool, which the hotel completely ignored.

They've just renovated the hotel, and it was a real pleasure staying there. Breakfast has improved too. I'll definitely come back!
