We were visiting family in Ngor, so the location was really convenient, though getting to Dakar’s sights took a bit of a drive. There were always plenty of taxis around. Our newly renovated room was fantastic and very comfortable, and the staff were generally very nice and helpful. The pool looked pretty clean, but it needs work at the bottom, where tiles are missing or broken. Breakfast was free, with bread, fruit salad, juice, and tea, though it’s a bit pricey if you’re someone who likes a big breakfast. The main restaurant had good, fresh local food. The beach and water were unpleasant, with garbage, bugs, and even a rat. I wish Senegal would clean it up, it would make a huge difference.

The staff were very friendly, and sitting out on the deck for evening drinks was nice. The location is great for Almadies, though the city center is a 20-minute drive away. It’s an old hotel that could use fresh, modern decor. The rooms are okay and close to the beach, with good views, but the noise from cleaning rugs on the beach was quite disturbing. Food quality and variety should improve.

The hotel was clean and well placed for visiting Ngor island and the Almadies district, but it felt overpriced for somewhere needing renovation. Our double room cost CFA 89,000, and both the shower head holder and toilet were broken.

Relaxed atmosphere and nice people who mostly leave you to yourself. Watch out for taxi scams, though. Check the fare in the Heetch app and tell the driver that’s the price you’ll pay, he’ll believe you.

There were seven of us, and although all four rooms cost the same, two had been renovated while the other two were terribly old. Breakfast was the bigger problem. The unfriendly staff served a baguette, croissant, butter, and jam. If you pushed, they might reluctantly get a yogurt from under the counter. The coffee was black sludge, and espresso cost extra, which I wouldn’t mind if they hadn’t forgotten to bring it. Any eggs or other extras came at an additional charge. I don’t understand why the hotel or management would start guests’ day by ruining their mood. The pool was dirty too, I’ll leave the details to the picture. They need friendlier staff and faster service.
