Hotel & Campement du Lac Rose

The restaurant was decent, and they adjusted the menu for two vegetarians. Breakfast had plenty of variety, including bread, butter, jam, honey, Laughing Cow cheese, juice, cake, coffee and tea. The hotel is close to the pink lake and kept in good condition. Our room was clean, with working air conditioning and a mosquito net over the bed.

It's now called "Chez Salim." The staff were young and friendly, and we had lunch outside at a lovely elevated spot while musicians played. Dinner indoors felt more like eating in a canteen. There are two pools: the one at the back, right in front of our cottage, was green, which was a shame. The front pool was a little cloudy, though the water was blue and I swam a few laps. They also serve "Kiss Lorraine" pastries as a starter, which made me laugh.

The pool felt a little chilly, but the local dishes were really good. We had a clean, air-conditioned room, and everyone gave us a warm, friendly welcome.

Having a fridge in the room and two lovely pools was a real bonus. The place itself is pleasant, with clean, well-kept rooms. We felt at home thanks to the team's genuine hospitality. Whenever even a small issue came up, they responded quickly and professionally, always with a smile. We had a wonderful stay at this camp in Senegal and would happily recommend it. 👌🏻🙂👍🏻
