Hotel Obama Beach

The gym is spacious, with activities led by monitors every day, and there’s a small spa with very sweet ladies. I came back for a long weekend and the hotel and its surroundings were still stunning, full of beautiful trees and plants by the beach. The service was much better than on my first visit, and the food had improved. I didn’t eat much, but there seemed to be plenty of choices, all served buffet style. It’s a perfect place to rest and relax. Thank you to Adama and Mantou at the front office, Amadou with the luggage, Laurent at the bar, beautiful Dada, Ousmane, Sambou, the sweet lady making omelettes in the morning, the gentleman who kindly serves us atayas at dinner, and everyone else who made our stay memorable. I’d definitely recommend it!

The location right on the beach is great, and it has the facilities you need for a stay. The rooms are comparable to other three-star places in the area. Breakfast was very good, with an egg station, fruit, bread, pastries, and juice, while the buffet dinner was average. Unfortunately, many staff members didn’t seem focused on customer service. Check your bill carefully for overcharges.

I enjoyed my stay and would come back. The walk from the parking lot to reception is a bit long. On the way into the resort there’s a Covid decontamination tunnel, which felt like a quaint, almost retro reminder of a grim reality from just a few years ago.

The staff were friendly and kind, and the food was good. Thanks for taking care of us. Our event logistics got complicated at times, so having a hotel events coordinator would help. The music during meals could also be quieter, since it was hard to have a conversation.
