Waterland Suites

I paid for peace and pool access to help my back, but got noise, damaged laundry that still had stains, and no pool for two-thirds of my stay. They refused compensation and offered empty promises of vouchers after I had checked out. They even offered a free night, but what for? I had already left the country and never received anything. The pool was a plastic tub on a frame, then it disappeared after two days. They said a new pool would be ready in two days, but that turned into weeks of excuses. There was no water or access, and no refund. Staff and maintenance made constant noise in the hallway, despite the advertised quiet rooms. The laundry service ruined my clothes. I wasn't allowed to use the machine myself. An untrained staff member put everything on hot without asking, then acted like I was the problem. When I asked them not to put soap in the softener compartment, they said they add extra soap because they don't have softener. After the clothes are rinsed, you're adding soap? Ridiculous. Staff were slow, unprofessional, and snobbish, and kept referring everything to an absent owner. They tried to help but couldn't do anything. Don't check in after 6 p.m. because there's nobody at the front desk, and you could be left without your booked room. I saw travelers arrive around 8 p.m. after a flight and not get access. The microwave is only available during desk hours, since the door is locked after that, so you can't heat food early in the morning, in the evening, or late at night. This place misleads people, makes excuses, and delivers nothing like the ads. Another scam with pretty pictures and false advertising. Avoid it unless you want to pay for lies and get agitated.
