Between the late-night noise and early morning cleaning, we got almost no rest. Music blasted through speakers well past midnight and could be heard clearly in our rooms. Checkout was at 7:00 AM, and staff started using loud leaf blowers around 5:00 AM while guests were still trying to sleep. The hotel also makes guests return to the front desk to swap wristbands between day and night passes if they stay more than one day. It’s a needless hassle and poorly managed. The arrival-day rules were a mess too. Expedia listed check-in as 3:00 PM, so I drove over with my family expecting to check in and use the amenities. At the hotel we were told it was actually 5:00 PM. Signs say the pools and kids’ slides close at 4:00 PM, so overnight guests can’t use them on arrival day unless they pay extra. They tried to charge us another $15 per person for a so-called “day pass” on top of the room price, which was never clearly disclosed. There’s no free parking either, overnight guests pay $5 a day. Then the restaurant made a bad stay worse. We ordered lobster and it was awful and wildly overpriced. The meat was gray. When we complained, the waiter said gray lobster meant it was fresh, which I believe is a blatant lie. Fresh lobster is not gray. It seemed old and possibly unsafe to eat. This place feels misleading and like a scam. They nickel-and-dime guests, misrepresent their policies, and leave you frustrated and short on sleep. The whole experience was miserable from beginning to end, and I’d tell people to stay elsewhere.
