The room had a sewer smell all night, and the bed was so uncomfortable I barely slept. The location is great, but I had a frustrating time with the reservation. I'd booked four nights with air conditioning, yet on arrival they said I only had a room with a fan. I pointed to my name in their booking book, and they offered an upgrade for more money. I stayed just one night with the fan, then left to look for somewhere better. The young woman who took my booking remembered it the next morning, but I got only an apology when I spoke with her. It felt like a shady way to upsell a room, and the customer service was poor. Ufffffffff, that kind of thing really annoys me. I like to give credit when service is top notch, but this wasn't. They messed up my reservation, and the room smelled bad. I went a few blocks farther to a slightly nicer place, which may be my next review. Hopefully I'll sleep there.
I paid $25 a night. The room was on the small side but worked well enough, though there was no hot water. It's a good spot in the capital, within walking distance of the central Plaza and a shopping mall. Motorbike parking felt safe. The hotel also serves the three main meals; we tried breakfast and lunch, and both were good. The carpark doubles as the cafeteria's seating area.
We had two comfortable beds for US$35, so with a friend it came to $18 each. Parking is inside and felt safe, and staff are available all night. The place was clean and very central, and the staff were polite and helpful. The air conditioner didn't cool very well, and there was no hot water. I'm glad this hotel is here: $105 gets you three nights in Salvador's capital without spending a fortune. The capital is much safer than it has been in a long time.
If you commute, the hotel's location is a real plus. The rooms are good for what you pay, and there's a restaurant downstairs alongside the hotel, with tasty food at a low price. It wasn't expensive, and everything was great.
The rooms and bathrooms were clean, with air conditioning, big beds, and cable TV. There's parking and a cafeteria for breakfast and dinner. It isn't quiet, but for the price it's a nice place.
