D's beach bar is right beside the resort, with plenty of drinks and food on the menu, so you don't really have to leave if you don't want to. For essentials, Maho Market is around a 10 minute walk for anyone happy to walk. The views are spectacular, and the beach is just a few steps from the room. My coworker suggested this resort, and I'm glad I took their advice. We had a great time.

Nico was a welcoming, friendly host and really helpful with our questions and needs. We stayed ten days in the Emerald suite, which had lovely ocean and beach views, plenty of space, and a very comfortable king bed. Fresh croissants, orange juice, and other items were served every morning at the front office. We also ate well at D’s bar and grill next door. This Boutique Hotel sits in its own quiet corner of Simpson Bay, about a 10-15 minute walk from Maho strip. We'd recommend it and hope to return. Nelson/Hanna

There's a quieter beach right there, and Maho bay airplane beach is only a 7 minute walk down the road. We liked having one balcony facing the beach and another by the front entrance where you can watch planes arrive and depart, which is a treat if you're into planes. The airport almost shuts down at night, so you don't hear planes in the middle of the night. The rooms were nice, the place was clean, and the staff were friendly. We'd stay again.

Nico made me feel welcome and looked after from the moment I arrived. He was warm, attentive, and thoughtful, and went above and beyond throughout my stay. Cocovaa Hotel is beautiful, clean, and close to the beach. It was a very comfortable stay with great service, and I'd definitely come back when I visit Saint Maarten again.
