Marlice suite - The Cliff luxury residence

We spent a week at the cliff with the kids in December 2024. The condo looked stunning, and the grounds were well maintained. It’s a gated community, which made us feel comfortable about the car, and there’s a beautiful private beach with its own access. Since it’s secluded and rarely busy, I’d go with someone; the waves and undertow can get strong. The pool was incredible, and the building was exceptionally clean. Staff and Security were impeccable too. You can walk to pretty much anything you need.

The infinity pool was lovely, with bar service, and the private beach was beautiful. We had a wonderful week in a comfortable apartment with a great view, despite three letdowns. The bathroom drains smelled, and the elevator was out, so we had to use the stairs the whole time. That was manageable for us but would be tough for anyone with mobility issues or small children. The hotel restaurant staff acted like they were above their station.

Stayed here and had a really good experience.

We were in room 7E, booked through Airbnb, and the view from the 7th floor was wonderful. But the listing left out that The Cliff has been without a working generator for 10 years. When the power kept going off, there was no water, AC, or elevator. I understand outages happen on the island, but 14 flights of stairs can be very hard for people over 70. Airbnb needs to include this information. The condo manager even called me KAREN and told me to stop complaining. We travel too, and all I can say is buyer beware.
