The place and rooms are beautiful, but the shower didn't give much water. It's self-catering, yet there wasn't any cutlery to use, and we had to wait until 8 the next day.

My stay at the lodge had been going well, but then I couldn't find my wedding ring after the cleaner had come in to clean the room. I searched the whole room, including where I'd left it, and still couldn't find it. I'm sure the cleaner took it, so I wouldn't recommend the lodge to anyone. I called reception, and they came to help search and asked whether anyone had visited, even though they knew it was just my husband and me in the room. How could I leave my ring there and not find it after looking everywhere?

Linda, thank you for the hospitality and for communicating openly. I always enjoy staying there. For me, the service and understanding are measured in the experience, not the cost.

It's a nice place, but the staff could communicate better. There was tea and sugar in the room, but no coffee or milk, which I like. The outside also needs some maintenance.

Communication matters a lot in business. The staff need training in customer service and care.
