Alexandra Resort - All-Inclusive

We loved the food and looked forward to the choices at every meal. The service was just as memorable, with staff making us feel welcome and cared for throughout our stay. Our updated deluxe room was beautiful, with stunning views of Grace Bay Beach and that clear water waiting for us each morning. We’d planned six days at Alexandra Resort, then added another night because we weren’t ready to go. It’s become my favorite place, and we can’t wait to return.

The location is great, and the beach is nice, though the resort itself feels a bit small. Our room was clean. The food was bland, but no worse than at other resorts. Staff were polite, though most of the people we dealt with, maybe 90 percent, weren’t friendly. We’d read reviews saying the same and wished we’d taken them seriously. We felt like a bother when asking questions. I had repeated issues with Keisha, the main bartender, who kept asking only me to show my resort bracelet on several days even though I was regularly at the bar. Management acknowledged receiving our message, but never addressed the issue or resolved anything despite multiple follow-ups, and we still haven’t heard more since the stay. If service matters to you, I’d recommend another resort. There are better options here.

The cost set my expectations much higher, but the resort felt outdated, from the rooms and grounds to the front lobby. The food was bad apart from Caribbean night, the spirits seemed watered down, and water pressure was extremely low. Most things close at 10 p.m., and getting a beach chair meant being up at 5 a.m. A lot of employees seemed like they’d rather be somewhere else. Blue Haven was much better, even though it’s smaller, but I left both places unhappy and ready to go.

Lunch with Miss Sylvie was the best meal we had, though the food overall was pretty good. I also appreciated being able to visit the other resort, where Natalie at the Blue Haven was a great time and an awesome bartender. At the pool bar, Kaelin and Koby were amazing, and Cheeky, Razor, Sqac, and Barbie made us feel like family. Cheeky deserves a special shout-out for making my sister’s birthday happen. Can’t wait to go back.
