Villa Amphawa

It was a convenient stay, and the food was delicious. The staff looked after us well, and the pool was clean. A great fit for a relaxing family holiday.

The only real letdown was the large flat screen TV, which had a poor signal and needs improvement. Everything else was superb. The staff were kind and helpful, and the service was awesome. Breakfast, included with the stay, was delicious. The villa is away from the main city, so it felt calm and quiet. We were welcomed at the counter with cold herbal juice, and check-in was quick. A staff member showed us to our room and explained the villa's design and concept, including the portraits decorating the hallway. Our room looked elegant and luxurious, was neat and clean, and had all the necessary accessories. From the balcony, we had an outstanding view of the swimming pool. Time of travel: September 2018

A lovely colonial mansion, decorated with real taste and style, tucked into a quiet, green corner of Ahphawa. There are traditional temples nearby with real historical significance. The staff were gentle and well trained, and the facilities were spotless and beautiful. They also suggested nice services at affordable prices. A perfect weekend escape from Bangkok.

The only drawback was the low water pressure, so I had to wait a bit for it to be strong enough for a proper bath. The bathroom was large and had a bathtub, and the rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast combined Western and Thai food. Although it was all you could eat, you still ordered from the menu. It's a quiet place with Victorian decor, and the staff greeted us warmly. I liked that it's away from the usual path while still only 2.5 kilometers from Ampawa Floating Market.
