Andakiri Pool Villa Panoramic Sea View

I've never written a review before, but this stay fell well short of what was advertised and expected, despite the property's attractive views. I cut my foot on a sharp object by the pool, and cracked surfaces around the property showed signs of poor maintenance. The room also had cleanliness and pest problems: ants and lots of mosquitoes, which repeatedly bit my partner. The air conditioner leaked and didn't work properly, leaving the room hot and uncomfortable overnight. Getting help was difficult. When we asked for luggage assistance, staff said it wasn't their service and left us to manage on our own. Reception was dismissive when we reported the air conditioning, and another staff member's rude tone made us feel unwelcome. We also saw one staff member shouting aggressively at another in front of guests. The person being shouted at was trying to help us and looked visibly upset, making it uncomfortable to watch. The stay didn't meet a reasonable standard for comfort, cleanliness, or safety. I hope this is reviewed, because we feel compensation or a partial refund would be fair.

The views over Ao Nang Beach were beautiful, and we liked the friendly, helpful staff and the value of having two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Andakiri Pool Villa is close to town, but getting around was hard because the property sits up a steep hill. Grab drivers often wouldn't collect us there, so sometimes we had to walk up or down in the heat. The free shuttle helped, but it ran on a limited schedule. Tuk-tuks also struggled with the hill. The rooms felt dated and could use an upgrade. We were asked to switch off the air conditioning and electricity whenever we left, which made coming back uncomfortable because of the humidity and the time it took to cool down. With the stairs and hillside layout, the property isn't ADA compliant for people who need accommodations. Next time we'd probably choose somewhere in Ao Nang within walking distance of the beach, shops, restaurants, and nightlife.

The rooms are nice, and both the hotel and its location are beautiful, but cleanliness was poor. The pool water hadn't been changed, and filters weren't being used to purify it after each use. When rooms were cleaned, no air freshener or cleaning products were used. I booked four nights, and all they did was sweep, make the bed, take out the trash, and clean the bathroom, which still wasn't clean at all. I hope the owner addresses this. The food was bad and didn't cater to Arab guests. Breakfast was included, but there was nothing edible, so I had to eat instant noodles every day.

Our room was a great place to finish our vacation, with modern decor, plenty of space, comfortable beds, a sitting area, and a large bathroom. We booked Andakiri for the ocean view from our private pool, which you can reach from either the bedroom or living room. Breakfast had a tasty selection, and on our final day, when we had to leave early, they gave us a box to take along. Staff welcomed us warmly, though their English wasn't the strongest. A shuttle to Ao Nang came about every two hours. We walked once, but the steep hill makes the shuttle worth using. Tuk-tuks don't go up there. We stayed for two nights before flying from Krabi Airport, and it was a great way to end our trip.
