Aonang Eazy Room Hotel

The staff were very friendly and always smiling. But whoever cleaned our room left it unlocked and slightly open for half a day while we were out, which wasn’t great since there was no safe. The location is very central in Ao Nang, and there was noise from the clubs, though that didn’t bother us. We stayed the two nights we’d booked, but it felt awkward, and I don’t understand the reviews saying this place is clean. Cleaning seemed limited to the obvious spots. The floor and bed were cleaned, but there was dirt, junk, and stains in all the corners, behind the TV, and throughout the bathroom except where you stand. I wouldn’t recommend looking inside the cupboard under the sink if you get grossed out easily. The room somehow felt sterile despite being dirty. The painting over our bed was badly bent, fell down once, and we put it on the floor. The old, bulky TV didn’t work and just took up space. The bed was okay, but the plastic wrapping on the bottom mattress was partly torn and didn’t look inviting. The air conditioner had two settings: freezing cold or off. We mentioned it to staff, and he said the thermostat probably didn’t work, then laughed. That was all. I’d happily pay 400 bath more for proper cleaning and a little care with small fixes, like replacing the bent painting and removing the broken TV. The place could be a central, cheap place to stay if you don’t mind it being a bit dirty.
