At Thara Aonang

I love animals, so being able to play with the cats made me really happy. The place is cute, tidy, and close by. Natty and Chai, the owners, were lovely and helpful. They sorted out the transaction and took us to the hot springs and some unseen spots.

After we crashed our motorbike, we reached the hotel and asked for a bandage. The family who own the hostel helped us right away and checked that we were comfortable and okay. They’re really caring people.

This place still shows as available on Hostelworld, even though the hotel doesn’t use the site. We had to cancel and find somewhere else. I only found out because I messaged the hostel on Instagram. Otherwise, we would have arrived with nowhere to stay. Please take the listing down from Hostelworld.

Natty was a wonderful host and helped me with everything, including scooter and activity arrangements. When I lost my bag on the bus, she went way out of her way to retrieve it from the bus station and help get it to Koh samui. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve had in Asia. They made breakfast for us too. We got in early even though we arrived before check-in. Such a shame we only stayed two days, but we’ll definitely come back next time! 🩷
