Ava Sea Krabi Resort

The breakfast had a good range of fresh options, and it was easy to get around from here, with Ao Nang Beach, restaurants, and shops nearby. The atmosphere was peaceful, everything was well organized, and the hotel was very clean, modern, and well maintained. My room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I had a fantastic stay at Ava Sea Resort in Krabi and would gladly come back. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Krabi.

Bank and Jessy stood out for their excellent service. Bank was especially thoughtful, always greeting guests with a smile and offering to help with luggage. I really appreciated the care they showed, and I’ll choose to stay here again next time.

The room was decent, though the twin beds pushed together to make a king were firm and had a bump where they joined. The TV was small and a bit dated. The bathroom was in good shape, all the fixtures worked, and the shower had excellent temperature and pressure. My patio was a good size, with a pool view and a partial look at the limestone cliffs, though most of the cliffs were blocked by the resort’s second tower and a neighboring resort. The housekeeper on my floor was a star. The restaurant was okay. Breakfast was decent, but probably didn’t match the price. The staff were very accommodating, though, and even heated up takeaway leftovers from my previous hotel and brought them to my room. The location is hard to beat, with restaurants and bars in both directions. The beach is a little over a five-minute walk, and the night market along the beach road is either a long walk or a short ride away. What really made the stay was the staff, from the parking attendant and dining manager to housekeeping and the front desk. Everyone was outstanding and made me feel at home. I had a very good stay and would come back. I wouldn’t rate the resort itself as a four-star establishment, but the service from the staff is five stars.

The hotel is far enough from the main bars and restaurants that it stays quiet at night. Taxis are always available right outside if you don’t feel like walking down the hill, and they made getting around easy. The taxi drivers even greeted us in the morning. We were unsure before arriving because of negative reviews about the staff and food, but we were pleasantly surprised. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and kind, especially the pool bar attendant and the reception team working both day and night. They went out of their way to make the visit memorable, and even the cleaner greeted us with a big smile. The restaurant was clean and well kept. There wasn’t a lot of choice for us English guests at breakfast, but eggs, pancakes, toast, and fruit were more than enough for us each morning. We’re a family of four from the UK, mum, dad, and two grown-up daughters. We arrived on 28 December after spending nine nights in Phuket. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We’re glad we didn’t let the negative reviews put us off. Shame on those people. Lynn and family.
