Srisuksant Resort

We arrived tired after travelling, but the staff wouldn't let us check in even though we had a confirmed booking, valid ID, and proof of payment. Nobody gave us a clear reason. Reception was unprofessional and unhelpful, and staff made no effort to explain or sort it out. The whole thing was stressful, with no basic courtesy or hospitality. I strongly recommend that future guests avoid booking here or waiting around for check-in.

The location was good, probably the main thing this hotel has going for it. Our room, though, was a letdown: the window looked straight at a wall, so it felt dark and unpleasant. Staff often seemed irritated, and asking for help made us feel like we were bothering them. It wasn't welcoming, and I wouldn't stay here again.

We had a good breakfast and the staff were nice. The location is great, within walking distance of the night market and the pier for longtail boats. Our room was clean, but there was an occasional sewer smell near the small pool. The balcony door wouldn't shut tightly and needed repair, and that smell got into our room on the first night.

The location is excellent, but it felt like that was the only thing the hotel had going for it. The front desk staff were helpful, though completely rigid about their rule book. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and okay, but had none of the basic extras: no milk powder for tea, shaving or dental kits, or iron. There wasn't even an iron anywhere in the hotel. Breakfast was the same each of my four nights, with no variety. Staff were rude and wouldn't serve things, even salt and pepper, so guests had to get them themselves. Some crockery was cracked. I don't think there was anything extraordinary here for customers beyond the location.
