Classic Kameo Ayutthaya Hotel & Serviced Apartment

We were in Ayutthaya for errands and wanted somewhere in the city center. Classic Cameo worked out perfectly for our family, especially with several of us and young children traveling together. The rates are very reasonable, and the hotel has all the essential facilities you need.

The rooms smelled musty and moldy, and running the air conditioning seemed to make the mold spores even worse. The AC itself smelled like its filters hadn’t been cleaned in years. In another room used by our party, none of the wall outlets worked, though a USB port did. Even after that person asked, nobody came to fix it or offered a different room. By a very long way, this was not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel. Worst hotel of our trip to Thailand.

For what we paid, this was one of our top 3 hotels in Thailand. The location was great, with a 7-11 and restaurants nearby. The staff were good, and the breakfast, gym, rooms, and WiFi were all great. I can’t fault the place.

We come back to this favorite place every time we visit Ayutthaya. There’s plenty of parking and it’s easy to get in and out. The room is clean, and the AC runs well without annoying noise. Breakfast has plenty of choices. After a long drive, I especially appreciate the good water pressure and hot water for a relaxing shower.
