The restaurant is a lovely space, almost like an art gallery, and breakfast was a nice part of each morning. The coffee was made fresh to order, and the self-serve counter had a good selection of fresh fruit and salad, plus warm bread. The small breakfast was a thoughtful idea, though the main choices felt limited and not very appealing. Maybe porridge or roti would work better than fried rice, rice with pork, or wonton soup. Ayutthaya is known for roti, after all. We stayed three nights several months ago. The location worked well without a car, with restaurants, cafes, lunch spots, 7-11, and many Roti Sai Mai shops within walking distance. They were open from early morning until night. It's a small boutique hotel with only 13 rooms, so the pool and temple view across from it were peaceful. I wasn't sure how the pool was kept hygienic, though, since there was moss all over its walls. Our second-floor room was spacious, with a high ceiling and several windows, but people could walk right outside, so we kept the shades down and had to use the lights. That was disappointing, since we wanted to enjoy Thailand's natural surroundings. The TV was hard to figure out, and I had to call reception for someone to show us how it worked. The shower was fine, but its curtain was too short and water kept getting onto the floor. The service could have felt warmer, from reception through housekeeping. I travel a lot and didn't get much of a welcoming feeling. Game, the young chubby man on staff, was the exception. He was always humble, warm, and friendly. All in all, it was a nice stay.

The hotel is in the old town, not far from the historical sites, and includes breakfast in the room price. Rooms are spacious and clean. The river view is wonderful, with an old temple across the water, and you can relax beside the pool right by the river while watching the sunrise or sunset. They can arrange a boat tour that picks you up at the hotel pier. Parking is very limited, so let the hotel know ahead of time if you need a space.

Ayuthaya has few places better than this hotel. It's quiet and peaceful, with a private feel and lovely views of the river and temple. Breakfast was good, and there are free bicycles. A very good dinner restaurant is only about 100 meters to the west. Many thanks to the host and hotel staff!

So helpful, the staff! The river and temple views are beautiful, and there are plenty of spots in the room to sit and enjoy looking out. It was comfortable to stay here, with popular local sweets and restaurants nearby. There's also a nice little gallery with art.
