There are local restaurants and bars just around the corner, though the bigger supermarket for groceries is a 25 minute walk away. It’s also about 1.5 hours by scooter to Doi Inthanon and the same to Chiang Mai city. We stayed for over a month and had a great time. It was very safe and quiet, which was what we needed. The room was spacious and had just been renovated when we arrived in December. It had a bathroom with hot water and a toilet, plus a sink, counter, cabinets, and a rail for hanging clothes. There were glasses, cups, and a kettle for coffee too. The bed was a bit hard, but we managed. We got a really good price, and it met our expectations. Tao was a great host, and his family did their best to make guests happy. You just need to talk to them. For the money, it’s great. If your expectations are very high, book somewhere else so you won’t be disappointed. It’s normal accommodation for a normal person.
