The lady boss welcomed us warmly and helped us with directions and the room key. It’s a regular key, not a key card. The grounds are large, so dragging our luggage to the room took quite a while. The room was fairly clean, though nothing special, especially for such a remote area. It had air conditioning, a fridge and a kettle, but no hair dryer. Turning on the hot water was the most unusual part, the switch looked like a circuit breaker. The food was simple but comforting, especially in winter. For the price, it felt worth it, and it’s a 30 minute drive to the top of Inthanon.

For 500 baht, we had a double room for the night and got a very comfortable bed with a warm duvet. The room was small, but had free WiFi, a TV and a hot shower. A great spot to rest before a day at Doi Inthanon.

Everything was priced cheaply, and if you want something from the stalls across the road, you can just walk over and order. We did that for grilled chicken, which they brought in for us. We arrived late for lunch, so quite a few dishes weren’t available.
