Nok Chan Mee Na

We had some salads here, maybe the best we ate in Thailand. The separate bungalows have everything you need, including a beautiful bath with mosaic, and the price is very good. The surroundings are gorgeous. Birds and frogs can get a little loud, but I highly recommend the place. Our park entrance ticket was valid the next day as well, so we got to visit the amazing waterfalls nearby.

We paid 800B, without breakfast, for a bungalow among the rice fields, and the view was fantastic. There's also a small pool. The bungalow was a bit rough, though it had a comfortable bed and a mini kitchenette with a fridge, storage, kettle, free water, tea, and coffee. Oddly, the kitchenette shares a room with the bathroom and toilet. In the morning, a urine-like smell lingered around the bungalow, though it might have been fertilizer from the fields. The two young housekeepers were very friendly, and that view is why I'm giving four stars.

Tucked away in a small village, this place feels right in the middle of nature. The clean bungalows have balconies where we could relax and take in the mountain views, and swimming in the pool quickly became part of our routine. Service was great too. In the evening we had a lovely green curry made with fresh local ingredients, mostly from their own garden, and they washed our clothes very quickly. I’d suggest changing the breakfast to something more authentic to fit the place. On our second morning I asked for stir-fried rice and different kinds of fruit, and that was much better. Thanks for such a relaxing stay, one of the best stops on our trip!

The food was authentic and really tasty, especially the green curry. They use pesticide-free herbs, vegetables, and fruit from their own backyard. The manager designed the whole resort himself, and the cabins on the rice field were beautiful, clean, and shiny. The pool was lovely and clean too. We had an excellent, relaxing stay in a stunning location. The manager was friendly and helped us with our ongoing trip through the north. We enjoyed our chats and would definitely come back if we get the chance.
