360 issara Floating Resort

We were lucky enough to see elephants, and there was so much else to explore. Taking a kayak out was a lot of fun, and the restaurant served delicious food with a different menu each day. They were very accommodating about gluten-free meals, and I had no problems eating there. Everything was spotless and spacious in the very new Issara 360. The staff were so friendly, and the shuttle, private boat transfer and guide were all impeccable. This was the highlight of our trip. We’d highly recommend it. I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews, it was 10/10 for us.

The excursions were fantastic. We were fortunate to spot elephants, monkeys, bears, boars and hornbills, and wished we could have stayed longer. Back at 360 issara, we loved swimming and kayaking straight from our bungalow. The rooms were comfortable, the views incredible, and the welcome from the staff was so warm. The food was excellent too, and there was plenty of it. It’s been the best part of our trip so far.

The birthday surprise is what I’ll remember most. The team arranged cupcakes and candles to be brought in by boat, then gave me a homemade card with a photo of me and the staff. Everyone had added their own birthday wishes. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and it touched me deeply. The food and drinks were fresh, beautifully presented and surprisingly good for a remote floating resort. The scenery around 360 Issara Floating Resort was unreal, with emerald water, tall limestone cliffs and mist in the morning. Getting up in our overwater bungalow and stepping straight into the lake, then kayaking at sunrise, felt like magic. The property is brand new, but the service and attention to detail felt as polished as a world-class luxury resort. We were there for my birthday, and the care the staff put into making it special made the whole visit unforgettable. This is more than a place to stay. If you’re considering Cheow Larn Lake, I’d say go. It’s one of the most special places we’ve visited.

The motion was too much for my partner. The rooms at Issara 360 keep moving when boats pass, and even when people walk nearby. She became severely motion sick soon after we arrived, despite taking medicine from the staff, and couldn’t manage a second night. We’d booked two nights, but told the hotel that same day and asked to leave after one, with a refund for the unused night. We understand it was high season, but were disappointed that they weren’t flexible over a medical problem when we hadn’t used the second night. The location is lovely and quiet, the staff polite and helpful, and the floating concept is beautiful and unique. Still, anyone sensitive to motion should know the stay could be uncomfortable. We also found the policy rigid about medical discomfort, even though we reported it promptly.
