Baan Pak Rimkuen Resort

There are flowers everywhere, and the bright colors look lovely against all the greenery. You can tell someone takes care of the property. There are lots of small patios, picnic benches, and places to sunbathe, so it’s easy to unwind here. The rooms are a bit small and nothing fancy, but that isn’t really the point. Watching the river, especially with morning mist, is something else. I left feeling completely relaxed.

The grounds are like a botanical garden, and we really liked them. We stayed in a room with a terrace and a river view, which was lovely, though the river was “turned off” in the morning. The staff were very friendly and caring, and they gave us sandwiches and hot drinks in the morning. We chose this place at the last minute after looking at a lot of hotels nearby. After 19.00 it’s hard to find somewhere to eat. The toilet entrance is very low, even for me at 188 cm. I also think over two thousand baht per night is too much for this place.

The balcony overlooking the river was wonderful, and the location is great for lake trips. It’s about a 15-minute drive from the departure point to Khao Sok National Park. The rooms are standard, and the price is good value. The garden is amazing, and the grounds are well looked after, with a lovely local feel. A very kind family runs the place and gives wholehearted service. Just don’t expect spotless cleanliness, since it’s in the middle of the jungle and all that comes with that. It’s so lush and green that the resort could be called a botanical garden. The gardens are unique, with durian and coconut trees, and it’s a lovely place to relax. The staff are lovely and management is friendly. They also offer free coffee and water, plus River View restaurant. I recommend it!
