The food at the restaurant was very good, and its views are stunning. Breakfast was a good buffet with plenty of choice. The waterside bungalows are cute but could use a little maintenance. This has to be the most beautiful view in Sangkhlaburi. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

The service was amazing, and the people took great care of us. We also had a lovely view of Mon Bridge, which was very close. But I still wouldn’t return because of the location. We stayed in the floating raft house, which was full of insects, so avoid it if you’re terrified of them. The rooms and bedsheets were a little old and dirty, and we found huge spiders under the pillows. The toilet had no heater, and we had to go outside to turn the water valve on and off. At high tide, that meant putting our hands in dirty water. The gas canister in our place was empty, so we had to get one from a vacant unit, and even that had very little gas left. There was no real sense of safety in the open space. The bedroom door lock didn’t line up properly, so we couldn’t lock the door, and it swung open several times in the night because it wouldn’t close properly either. When we arrived, they told us to park by the roadside and said there would be CCTV, but we didn’t feel safe leaving the vehicle there, so we had a long drive to the resort’s parking lot. They said we could use their dining utensils, but we had to buy dishwashing soap and wash them ourselves.

From here you can photograph the Utamanusorn wooden bridge, also called the Mon bridge. If you’re up early, you can join the food offering to monks near the bridge at 06.30. In winter, you can visit the underwater church, where three rivers meet. The hotel is in a good location for all this.

They need to rethink how they handle deposit proof. They should ask for it when customers notify them by email or phone, but instead they request the evidence on check-in day. Some people book more than a month ahead, so it can be difficult to find the proof then. Aside from that, it’s okay.
