Bangna Pride Hotel & Residence

The breakfast area could use a staff greeting and a check-in to see if anyone needs help. Sometimes we don't see staff for a while, and by the time someone is available, it's too late to order an omelet. The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is nice, and the staff are friendly. It's also fairly close to the airport. Some reception staff have poor English, though, and the air conditioner in our room was ancient, loud, and had no remote. It made the whole room smell slightly of mildew, although other rooms might be better.

The room was spacious and quiet, and the staff I interacted with were friendly. Even so, it didn't feel like a four-star hotel, and I probably wouldn't stay again. The building is old, cleanliness was a concern, the staff didn't seem well trained, and the location wasn't good. There was dust everywhere, and I saw a cockroach in the room. The balcony door was jammed, and there were no outlets for the kettle, so we had to use it on the bedside table. The building sits behind another one and was hard to find or get in and out of. Reception and room service didn't answer the phone about half the time. When I asked to have food warmed up, they told me to bring it to reception because room service couldn't collect it from my room. We also asked for a room with a sofa bed and got one, only to be told it would cost extra after I'd already been checked in for half a day. That was unacceptable.

After two nights, I was really happy with this place. The room was spacious, and the kitchen equipment was useful, especially the big refrigerator. It felt comfortable, like being at home. I loved the stay and recommend it, you won't be disappointed. I'll definitely come back, and maybe next time I'll get a room upgrade, haha. 😂

We had good meal choices, with plenty of options. The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful. We arrived before the regular check-in time, and since all the rooms were ready, they let us in early. The host school recommended the hotel because it was close by. I probably wouldn't have picked it myself, but after staying there, I'd recommend it too. It's in a quiet part of Bangkok.
