Ok Home Airport

The location worked well for me. A laundry shop and 7-Eleven stores were within walking distance for everyday things, and the metro was about 1 km away. I usually took a cab to the station, then rode the metro into the city. I stayed 20 days and mostly had a good time. Breakfast was free, but every option was non-vegetarian, so as a vegetarian I only had coffee. My one real disappointment came at checkout: I asked the receptionist to hold my bag briefly while I exchanged money, planning to come right back, but they refused. After staying that long, I expected a little help.

The staff were never rude to me, and they were helpful. Some may not speak English that well, but give them a bit of slack, they're doing their best. I was put in a room with two other girls automatically, which made me feel safe and looked after. Each bed has a curtain for privacy, and I found the rooms relatively clean. For the bathroom, any sane person would wear shoes anyway. I first planned to stay one night, then a change of planes meant I booked two more. That wasn't a problem since the hostel seems fairly large, though you may have to climb three flights of stairs. It's decent cardio if you're fit and don't have mobility issues. There's a lot of food stalls right outside and a 7 Eleven next door. The big draw is the airport distance, and breakfast starts at 7am, handy for early flights. It's not the prettiest hostel, but for the price, a bed, breakfast, and a short trip to the airport make it a good choice for a female solo traveler. What more do you want at this price?

I paid through booking.com, but when I arrived a rude, disrespectful man demanded cash again. I showed him both the booking and payment confirmations, and he still wanted more money. It felt like a scam, and it was my worst hotel experience in Thailand. Avoid it.

Supermarket, food market, and massage place are all a one-minute walk away. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast had both Western and Thai options. Good hotel, with everything you need and very good value.
