The room itself was nice, though the bowl attached to the desk, apparently once a sink, makes the desk unusable. It looks nice, at least. The bar and cafe are being renovated and are closed, but there’s no notice of that anywhere. The lobby, if you can call it that, was dirty from the renovation and neglect, and there was no staff on site. While the cafe is under renovation, please make the entrance warmer and more welcoming. It’s the first thing guests see, and that would make a big difference.

Arun Sawad was a lovely place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room felt cozy and was super clean. You’re right in Chinatown, with MRT Wat Mangkon and great street food just a short walk away. Totally worth it, and I’d love to come back! 🌟

We stayed for three nights in this clean, classic place. Yaowarat is lovely during the day and even better at night. It’s an easy five-minute walk to Yaowarat Street, and getting around by MRT is simple.

There are plenty of restaurants, street food and cafes nearby, and the location is handy for Bangkok Chinatown and Hua Lumphong MRT Station. The room has an antique feel, though the wooden floors creak and carry noise when someone upstairs walks or runs.

Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We only stayed one night at Beds & Brews, but loved the room and its gorgeous building, full of interesting furniture and artwork. The staff let us check in early, which was such a help after the overnight train from Chiang Mai and a poor night's sleep. The place is just off the busiest streets, so we could sleep well, with lovely bars and restaurants only a couple of minutes away. There was also a movie scene being filmed on the road during the day, which was interesting to watch.
