B2 Bangkok Hotel - Srinakarin

We spent two nights here and got what we expected for the price. The area felt like an authentic bit of Thailand, with few tourists around, and I thought the cost was well worth it. Our room was very clean and had the basics we needed. The staff were helpful and really nice. The shower was okay, and although the bed was a little hard, I still slept well. I'd recommend it.

The outside looked appealing, and one staff member was warm and welcoming. Our room was clean, but it felt worn and old. The door squeaked loudly, the TV didn't work and seemed to be there for appearance, and there were no toothbrushes. We kept things tidy and cleaned up before checking out, so it was upsetting to be told there was a faint green mark on the blanket that I could barely see. They charged 900 baht for it, took our 500 baht deposit, and asked us to pay the remaining 400 baht by card, since they wouldn't accept cash. I've stayed in hotels in Thailand and elsewhere, and I've never been charged over such a minor mark that seemed easy to clean. The staff were rigid about it and didn't seem open to hearing us out. I understand hotels have policies, but I think they should still assess each case fairly and allow some flexibility. I don't like the thought of hurting the hotel's business, but I want other people to know what happened. Choosing a cheaper room doesn't feel like saving money if you leave frustrated and regretful.

The room was clean, with plenty of space to park, and the basics were all there. Service and location were just fine. One side's view is blocked by a building under construction. There's a really nice Burmese restaurant nearby. What made the price feel worthwhile was the excellent deal I got through Agoda. Without that, I think I would've regretted booking here.

Girl, don't stay here alone. The area is dark, with no street lights, and someone acted weird, followed me, and tried to touch me. The receptionists were the rudest I've met in bkk, no smiles or eye contact. They were really rude. No hairdryer either.
