Bangpho Story

The main annoyance was check-in. I waited five hours until 2 pm before finding out it was self check-in, something they could have mentioned when I booked. The bed was already ready, so a quick text offering an earlier check-in would’ve been appreciated. I also missed having a clothesline for hand washing, especially with so much open space upstairs, and the WiFi kept cutting out about every ten minutes. Aside from that, BS was great, and I hope these things get sorted before my next stay. I picked the place for its location near Bang Sue Station, Don Meaung International Airport, the MRT Blue Line, and the Chao Phraya ferries, which are about 100m away. AirAsia operates from Don Meaung. If you’re short on time and like a thrill, 100B can get you anywhere within a 4kms radius. My ride felt like a suicide mission, speeding recklessly and splitting lanes. Somehow the driver made it to Decathalon at Lotus across the river without collecting any wing mirrors. The fact that I’m here to tell it feels like karma. The room itself was fine, and I would’ve given BS four stars if not for the check-in.

The staff were helpful and really friendly, and I had a lovely stay. The room was clean, with a spacious bed, and the MRT station is literally right in front of the hostel, about a minute away.

It was clean and comfortable, with good beds and a calm atmosphere inside despite the hustle and bustle outside. The staff were very nice and friendly. The boat bus service and MRT are each about a four-minute walk away, and motorcycle taxis wait right outside.
