Bedspread Hostel - Adults Only

It’s a simple, very nice hotel, super clean and quiet, tucked away in a bit of a hidden spot in the center of hectic Bangkok. Hot shower and air conditioning. Perfect for sleeping, showering, and getting ready for the city. That’s it.

The big communal areas were great for waiting. We arrived at 7am and had to wait for our room, but there were awesome beanbag beds to nap on, plus a sofa and TV. The kitchen was large, with a big fridge for cold things, hot water, dishes, utensils, coffee and tea, and plenty of tables. The staff were extremely friendly and it was always clean. The rooms are nice, with cool AC and a wet toilet/shower combo. The rules are plentiful, but they help keep a nice group there: shoes off, no smoking, no outside guests, quiet, and a fine if you dirty the bedding. This isn’t the place if you want parties or a social atmosphere. It’s down a quiet alley, near koh san road if you want to party, near bus stops to mbk and markets, and a 5 minute walk to the ferry. The soup cart and fried chicken cart at the end of the alley on the main road are delicious. A couple of odd but tolerable things: the shower water would go hot, quickly cold, then settle at your temperature, and you can hear noisy neighbors through the cement walls, so bring earplugs even though the hostel and location are quiet. The coffee maker is a non electric drip filter and takes a long time, but there’s a great little coffee shop around the corner. I’d definitely stay again. It’s cute, quant, and a lovely place in Bangkok.

There’s a shared kitchen with all the basics you need, and my room, though not very big, felt fresh and nice. The air conditioning was new and strong. The staff were sweet and helpful, and the place was really clean and peaceful. For the price and location, the service was just perfect.

It stays surprisingly quiet here even though Khao San Rd is only five minutes away, with its music blasting over 130 decibels. The place is clean and everything works for the price. There’s a fridge in the dining room, plus unlimited water and cutlery to use in the kitchen. Staff were very nice. Seven-Elevens are everywhere, about every 200 meters, with lots of food stalls and massage places too. Pier N13 is a five-minute walk, and you can take a fare boat to the temples and many other places.
