CASA BLANCA Dusit - Hostel

I keep coming back to this cafe. Their coffee and Thai iced tea are my all-time favorites, and the staff are so lovely.

The staff were brilliant and gave me loads of useful Bangkok tips, plus a drink when I arrived and another when I left. The place was clean and pleasant. The bathrooms are shared, but each one is in its own cubicle and kept tidy, and I never had to wait for a shower or toilet.

The coffee alone would bring me back. In my opinion it’s some of the best in the city, and you can taste the difference from the beans they use from the exotic regions of Laos. The location is excellent, and the staff made us feel very welcome. It’s a lovely little hotel/hostel, and I’d stay here whenever I’m in Bangkok.

For 295 baht a night, this is a crazy good deal. The rooms are modern, clean and have great air conditioning. The bed was the usual firm Thai style, but the fluffy pillow and just-right duvet made it comfortable enough. Staff were super friendly, including the people working around the hostel whenever I came and went. It’s above a cafe, and the shower and toilet stalls are individual. I was fine with some street noise at night, though it could bother you if you need total silence. Khao San Road is a 20-minute walk, with a lot of construction traffic around right now. The rooms are upstairs, so it won’t work if you need a first-floor room. The Wi-Fi kept dropping and made me log in again and again.
