Centre Point Plus Hotel Silom

We loved the rooftop pool and sauna, and the rooms were comfortable and roomy. Getting around is easy too: public transport is about a five-minute walk, tuk-tuks are often waiting outside by the shopping area, and there’s a supermarket, restaurants, and coffee shops connected downstairs. Since this was our first Bangkok trip, we asked a few questions beforehand and got clear, quick replies. The staff were kind and helpful from check-in through all the little things during our stay. We’ll stay here whenever we come back to Bangkok.

The pool was a pleasant surprise, calm and elevated above the city. Staff were genuinely pleasant, especially the breakfast team, and the buffet had plenty of variety, with good Western choices as well as Thai dishes. Even the poached eggs were done properly, which isn’t always a given. The hotel was clean, and the location is hard to beat: right by the BTS Skytrain, with Silom restaurants, cafes, and street food an easy walk away. There’s refurbishment underway in some public areas, and the place feels partway through an upgrade. The rooms are practical but dated, especially the kitchenettes, and the bathrooms don’t feel refreshed. The floors feel bare and lifeless, and noise carries underfoot. Footsteps and other activity were more noticeable than I expected and affected the feeling of calm and sleep. It comes across more like a serviced apartment than a relaxed city retreat, though the basic structure is solid. A couple of things made the stay less smooth. There are only two lifts for a busy property, so peak times get chaotic. Check-in took unusually long and involved a lot of forms and disclaimers, including GDPR acknowledgements and liability for a lost keycard. The lobby often looked like a luggage holding area instead of a welcoming arrival space. I liked the hotel, and the staff and location are strong points. It’s clean and convenient, but doesn’t feel fully elevated yet. I’d stay again because getting around Bangkok is so easy from here, though I suspect the hotel’s best version is still to come.

The rooms feel like a home away from home, with good space, modern furnishings, comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches. The kitchenette is handy for a longer visit, and the skyline looks lovely at night from the higher floors. You’re close to shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and attractions, with Sala Daeng BTS and Silom MRT just steps away. It’s a great spot in a lovely Bangkok neighborhood, while the hotel itself sits on a quieter street. A comfortable, convenient stay with a bit of luxury.

Arthur at the concierge desk was a pleasure to deal with, calm and helpful. The staff were great, the property was clean, and I’ve got no complaints. We stayed in what I think was one of their biggest two-bedroom units. There was generous living and kitchen space, and both bedrooms were pretty large. We also had a slice of river view, with ICONSIam visible from the living room window. This experience made us decide to come back to Bangkok for the last couple of days of our trip. We’ll be back January 16th to 18th to enjoy Center Plus Siloms staff and hospitality again, and do more shopping. This is now my go-to hotel whenever I’m in Bangkok.
